Mr. K's is a non-profit NO-KILL shelter that was founded by Jackie and Wilma, a mother/ daughter team. We've been rescuing dogs and cats for over 20 years. Mr. K was our first rescue dog. We found him in Krogers store parking lot. Some men were kicking him. Wilma picked him up, took him in and the rest is history. He had every worm in the book, underweight, and the mange. He slept for three days, only waking up to eat. Then he finally started to come around. We found him a heartworm sponsor and good vet care. He lived until he was about ten years old. Through the years, there have been so many more rescue stories like Mr. K's. ........Now we have Chopper as our "spokes" doggy. He's a frisky 5 year old Schnauzer. He can't use his back legs due to distemper when he was a pup, but that doesn't slow him down! We always have him with us at the Texas Home & Garden Shows so stop by and get some doggy lovin'.
